The Position- FULL TIME- MON-FRI(7:00 AM-4:00 PM)- Saturdays (TBD)

Principal Duties/ Major Responsibilities:

- Prepares machine for the start of production and oversees daily operation in compliance with safe operating procedures.

- Follow all required work safe practices.

This would include wearing all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, fall restraints, etc.

- Adhere to food safety and all quality requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, and SQF requirements and assist in all internal/external audits

- Stage and weigh ingredients to be processed

- Process ingredients

- Safely operate process equipment machinery

- Safely operate a forklift

- Document stages of processing

- Perform daily equipment checks

Requirements/Qualifications:  

- Reliable transportation

- Be able to lift at least 50 lbs. regularly

- Demonstrated ability to work in teams

- Reliable, predictable attendance is required

- Employee must have the ability to climb stairs and be on their feet for long periods of time.

- Must have a practical working knowledge of basic arithmetic functions (multiplication, division, addition, subtraction).

- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

- HACCP certification and/or ServSafe Training a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Candidates must be accustomed to working in a manufacturing plant with varying temperatures. This position is subject to noise from machinery. It will require varying degrees of personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, earplugs, gloves, lab coats, masks, and safety glasses or goggles.
