HIRING IMMEDIATELY: RIPENING MANAGER IN ISLANDIA, NY
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Ripening Manager to join our client in Islandia, NY! This individual will be responsible for the efficient operation of the ripening facility within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers and vendors to ensure optimal order fulfillment with products that meet customer standards and comply with procedures. Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Ranging from $66,300 - $70,000/hour, paid weekly
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- Full Time Schedule, Overtime Availability
- Located in Islandia, NY
Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize forecasting models based on customer information, historical demand, and business capacity
- Manage the continuous ripening cycle to meet demand while maintaining product quality and shelf life
- Conduct inbound inspections to ensure products meet quality criteria before the ripening process
- Collaborate with the Forecasting Manager to communicate anticipated changes in demand or supply to the customer and Distribution Center
- Implement and maintain proper sanitation procedures in the ripening area
- Establish and oversee a Preventive Maintenance program for ripening rooms and equipment
- Track and document customer feedback, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel; experience with WMS (GOLD) preferred
- Ability to interact with all levels of management
- Experience in banana ripening processes, quality, maturation, and supply chain management
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and lead a diverse workforce
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Extended periods of sitting at a computer
- Work in a Distribution Center environment with varying temperatures
