Tool Room CNC Machinist – 1st Shift Position reports to: Tony Hernandez Work Model Onsite Hourly Pay Range $33.07 – $40.46 (Shift premium for 2nd & 3rd shift) Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools. Support die repair and maintenance operations. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Program CNC machines using G‑code or CAM software. Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job. Operate, monitor, and disassemble mills and lathes, maintaining accuracy and quality. Produce, repair, and modify precision tools, dies, molds, and other parts. Inspect finished products with precision measuring tools to ensure specification compliance. Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on machinery. Troubleshoot machine or programming issues. Adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED. Machining experience (manual and/or CNC) required. Ability to read technical drawings and geometric dimensioning. Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, scales, height gauges). Familiarity with CNC programming (G‑code) and CAM software. Progressive stamping dies maintenance experience (desired). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills. Manual dexterity and good hand‑eye coordination. Ability to lift heavy objects. Excellent communication skills and teamwork. Metallurgical knowledge of metal properties (desired). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Safety‑focused mindset. Safety All required PPE is provided, including hard hat, face shield, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel‑toe shoes.
