Project Controls Manager

Location: The Woodlands, Texas, United States Company: Entergy Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid Legal Entity: Entergy Services, LLC Travel: Up to 25% JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE This position provides oversight and support for Entergy's Stage Gate Process (SGP) and project management standards, ensuring standardization and continuous improvement in project delivery across all Entergy business units. The Project Controls Manager maintains ownership for the development and continuous improvement of policies, standards, and guides that standardize and optimize project delivery. They provide intrusive oversight of large, complex projects, establish and lead assurance, reporting, and training programs, and work directly with project teams to ensure alignment with SGP, cost and schedule certainty, risk mitigation, and proper project controls. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Provide deep subject matter expertise in project management and control disciplines. Maintain ownership of policies, standards, and guides that standardize and optimize project delivery across business units. Conduct rigorous and independent project assessments to ensure compliance with SGP and project management standards. Serve as an SGP Gate Reviewer, performing evaluations of project development and control deliverables, including business cases. Utilize project management and control expertise to provide SME-level guidance to project team members across business units. Conduct training on the Entergy SGP, project management standards, and disciplines such as Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA). Assist in analysis, optimization, and reporting on the Entergy project portfolio, assessing risk associated with planned scopes and multi‑year budget plans. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related study. 8+ years of capital project development and management experience; large, complex utility capital project experience essential. Experience in the management and control of large, complex utility capital projects with an EPC or engineering firm (5+ years). MBA or other advanced degree (desired). MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge and experience in managing and controlling large, complex utility capital projects.
