Sr. Manager, Mechanical Engineering

Senior Manager of Mechanical Engineering leading R&D teams at Baxter developing infusion systems. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with team development, spanning product design through manufacturing scale-up and ongoing improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, coach, and develop mechanical engineering team with accountable culture
- Own mechanical engineering execution for electromechanical infusion systems from concept through commercialization and production
- Raise design quality standards through CAD practices, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturing discipline
- Drive manufacturing readiness with Operations, Quality, suppliers, and contract manufacturers
- Align cross-functional teams around priorities, ownership, and delivery commitments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- 10+ years developing complex hardware in regulated industry
- 3-5+ years leading engineers and cross-functional technical teams
- Experience with Design Controls, DFMEA, risk management, and design verification
- Demonstrated success with design transfer and manufacturing scale-up
- Strong communication and organizational leadership skills
Compensation: $152,000-$209,000 base
