Job Description
A globally recognized multidisciplinary engineering and design consultancy, is seeking an Associate Principal level Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join its growing New York-area team.
\n \nThis is a strategic leadership hire focused on strengthening the firm’s market presence, client relationships, and business development capabilities across the region. The successful candidate will play a key role in work-winning activities, client engagement, and the delivery of technically complex multidisciplinary projects.
\n \nThe role offers strong visibility internally and externally, with the opportunity to work alongside senior leadership and contribute directly to long-term regional growth initiativ es.
\n \nKey Responsibilities
\nSupport business development and strategic growth initiatives across the New York market
\n \nBuild and maintain strong client relationships
\n \nLead or contribute to proposals, presentations, interviews, and bid submissions
\nRepresent the business at industry networking events and conferences
\n \nCollaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects
\nMentor and support junior engineering staff
\nContribute to commercial strategy, risk management, and project performance ove rsight
\n \nDesired Ba ckground
\n \nEstablished client relationships and market presence within the New York / New Jersey region Strong experience within building engineering consulting environments Sector experience may include :

\nHigher education and science facilities

\n \nProven leadership and business development capabilities
\nAbility to build trust quickly and operate effectively within senior client-facing environments
\n \nPreferred Qualifications
\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred
\nNCEES certification advantageous
\nLEED accreditation beneficial
\nStrong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery risk
