About the Position

Our client in Louisiana is seeking a Hematology Anesthetist for a 182-day assignment starting Oct 29, 2026. This locum-to-perm opportunity involves a high-volume, clinic-based practice, where you will primarily manage complex hematology oncology patients, overseeing treatment visits, follow-ups, and some new patient appointments. The role focuses on comprehensive patient care, requiring significant coordination, with no inpatient rounding or hospital call.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive care in a Hematology Oncology setting.
• Manage a full panel of complex patients, focusing on treatment visits, follow-ups, and new patient appointments.
• Engage in significant coordination of care for patients with co-morbidities.
• Work in a high-volume clinic setting with an outpatient infusion suite.
• See approximately 10-12 patients per day.
• No inpatient rounding or hospital consult call required.
• Understand this is a locum-to-perm position, requiring a decision within 60 days of starting.
• Work until the completion of the last chemo/biotherapy for the day.

Additional Information

• Board Certified in Hematology or Medical Oncology
• EMR: Epic
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Hematology Oncology experience required.
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days.
