The Texas A&M College of Vet erinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) ( is an institution that represents 100 years of growth from a small school of vet erinary medicine in 1916 to its present role as a major vet erinary educational, medical, and research center. Today, we are one of the largest schools of vet erinary medicine in the United States, training nearly 600 Doctor of Vet erinary Medicine students each year. We support collaboration and teamwork that turns today's discoveries into proactive solutions for animals, humans, and the environment. What we want

The Research Technician I performs entry level, technical support for Evolutionary Medicine Research lab taking inventory of samples from freezers.

What you need to know

Salary: W ill be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience .

Location/Schedule: College Station, TX/Part-Time; This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or on weekends.

Responsibilities

Inventory

• Taking inventory of genomic samples for research across six -80 freezers.

• Taking inventory of genomic samples for research across three -20 freezers.

Required Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Two years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in medical research laboratory handling inventory of genetic materials

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
