** Role Overview – Payroll Specialist (2 Openings)**

• Hiring manager: Allison Shayne (20 years with company in April)
• Team size: 5 currently
• Supporting ~2,000 employees across 30 states
• U.S. payroll team also supports:
• * Bermuda
  • Bahamas
  • 2 Israel entities
• Heavy exposure to:
• * Global mobility
  • International payroll considerations
  • Intercompany / intercountry activity
• Fast-paced, high-volume environment (“constantly putting out fires”)

** Why the Role is Open **

• Backfill + adding headcount (2 hires total)
• Team is stretched thin
• Upcoming leaves:
• * 1 maternity leave in May
  • 1 maternity leave in October
• Preparing for future ERP implementation

** Open Positions Breakdown **
** 1. Payroll Specialist (Immediate Need)**

• 2–7 years of U.S. payroll experience
• Will handle highest volume workload
• Priority hire

** 2. Senior Payroll / Global Specialist (Next 6 Months)**

• More seasoned profile
• Experience with international assignments / global mobility
• Will support increasing global complexity

** Key Responsibilities **

• Full-cycle payroll processing (multi-state)
• Partner closely with:
• * Benefits (eligibility, pay impact)
  • HR
  • Global mobility
• Work with outside counsel on complex issues
• Troubleshoot with 3rd-party tax vendors
• Handle state registrations as company expands
• Support ongoing system/process improvements
• Contribute to broader team initiatives (not siloed payroll role)

** Systems / Technical Environment **

• Current: UKG Pro (live since 2004)
• Transitioning:
• * From Citrix/back-office ? web-based processing
• Open to candidates from other systems
• ERP migration likely in near future
• AI initiatives are a major focus this year

** Complexity Factors **

• Multi-state payroll (notably complex states):
• * California
  • New York
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
• Global payroll exposure
• High volume + fast pace
• Frequent problem-solving and escalation handling

** Candidate Profile **
** Hard Skills: **

• Strong multi-state payroll experience
• Experience with high-volume environments
• Exposure to global payroll / mobility (for senior role)
