Job Description As a Security Officer - Utility Company Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related duties appropriate to a utilities location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns. Monitor entrances, gates, and/or designated access points, verify credentials when required, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity according to site policies. Prepare accurate reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and support emergency response activities in accordance with post instructions and Allied Universal standards. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
