Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Execute a wide array of ultrasound examinations, including responsibilities in abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and security throughout each procedure by clearly explaining steps with kindness and clarity
• Work in unison with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the production of high-caliber diagnostic images
• Handle and maintain imaging equipment with care, reporting any technical issues without delay
• Systematically document processes and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic health record system
• Remain updated on innovations in ultrasound imaging technology and industry best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a similar discipline
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
