Technical Switchboard Assembler I - 1st Shift

Technical Switchboard Assembler I Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00 per hour Location: Plymouth, MN Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday‑Friday, 6:00 AM‑2:30 PM; overtime may be required during busy times. Position Type: Temp to Hire Responsibilities Position, gather and arrange parts for proper assembly, verify fitness and tolerances. Interpret instructions, designs and schematics to produce items to specifications. Assemble and fabricate sheet metal parts and bus using equipment and tools. Mount assembled components such as transformers, panel boards, capacitors, circuit breakers, switches and CTs in cabinets. Operate machines that press, shape or bend component parts. Notify supervisor to obtain additional resources or assistance. Maintain a safe and clean working environment and adhere to safety regulations. Document materials used. Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Wear steel‑toe safety boots and provided safety glasses. Requirements and Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Ability to work as a team player in a fast‑paced custom manufacturing environment. Strong work ethic with attention to detail. Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of the Assembly department. Follow instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform job functions. Effective use of hand and power tools to assemble customized units. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering documentation and blueprints. Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude and the ability to pass a basic mathematics test. Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. Forklift experience preferred. Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for entire shift.
