Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector, Mission Readiness Operations, Logistics, located in Tucson, AZ. Duties This position uses your experience in various mission support duties that fulfill the goals and objectives of U.S. Border Patrol. In this Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) role, you will assist in a wide variety of mission support, workforce management, staffing and position management, administrative research, logistics, and other program planning activities related to the missions and functions of the agency. Typical duties and responsibilities include: Processing lost, stolen, destroyed, or missing property. Assisting higher graded specialists and supervisors with pay, overtime, and leave entitlements and administration. Researching suppliers and working with requesters to procure good and services. Running various reports, updating and providing updated information to Agency’s internal tracker, and monitoring reports. For local chapter contact information see Qualifications Experience: You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting with conducting inventory Assisting with records management Preparing various property reports Assisting with travel arrangements, authorizations, and vouchers Experience: You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Performing fleet card program audits Preparing briefing materials for supervisors and other senior management Preparing reports with data from internal data sources Coordinating with supervisors to ensure documents and actions are completed in a timely manner NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. Education Substitution GS-07: Successful completion of one year of full-time graduate education from an accredited college or university may substitute for the experience required at this level.
