PrideStaff - Greenville is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and results-driven Driver Recruiter for a leading transportation and logistics company for our customer in the Greer, SC area .

In this specialized, corporate role, you will take full ownership of the driver talent acquisition pipeline. We are looking for an industry professional who speaks the language of commercial drivers, understands DOT regulations, and knows how to navigate specialized job boards to keep our client's fleet fully staffed with qualified, safety-conscious CDL drivers.

Driver Recruiter Primary Responsibilities include:

Your main responsibility is the full-cycle sourcing, screening, and hiring of qualified commercial drivers , ensuring a steady influx of talent to meet fleet demands.

• Talent Sourcing: Actively source high-quality CDL candidates using specialized transportation job boards, social media networks, cold calling, and industry referrals.
• Screening & Vetting: Conduct detailed phone interviews and pre-screen applicants to evaluate their experience, driving records, and alignment with company standards.
• Compliance Review: Review applicant qualifications to ensure strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
• Onboarding Coordination: Guide selected drivers through the entire onboarding process, including scheduling background checks, drug screenings, and road tests.
• Applicant Tracking: Maintain and update the internal Applicant Tracking System (ATS) meticulously to ensure all candidate files and compliance documents are accurate.
• Retention Strategies: Work closely with fleet managers and safety directors to gather feedback on driver quality and assist with company retention initiatives.

Driver Recruiter Requirements include:

• Industry Experience Required: Must have direct, proven experience recruiting CDL Drivers. General high-volume recruiting is a plus, but specialized commercial driver recruiting is strictly required.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA safety guidelines, and commercial driving qualifications.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), digital job boards, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Communication Mastery: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to build trust and rapport with drivers quickly.
• Success Traits: A high-energy self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, strong time management, and a results-oriented mindset.
