Part-Time Showroom Sales Specialist Location: Austin, Texas, United States, 78704 Join Dal‑Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, as a Part‑Time Showroom Sales Specialist. This role requires Saturdays and includes evening and weekend hours. Primary Responsibilities Provide interior design advice and product expertise, facilitate tile and stone selection, and support project development, ensuring completion of customer selections and sales. Utilize Auto‑CAD Project Management where applicable. Log all client showroom visits, contact information, and detailed customer preferences in CMT; communicate with customers and internal team to track leads and close sales; report monthly sales closures. Prospect for new business with Custom Builders and Residential Designers; make outside sales calls and follow up leads to drive and grow business. Maintain showroom samples and merchandising, including ordering, receiving, and managing models and displays; ship customer examples as needed. Coordinate with suppliers and locally sourced vendors to stay current on design and product offerings; comply with Marketing’s standards for showroom merchandising. Plan and host showroom tours and events for industry trade to promote sales and build brand awareness; attend outside trade events to develop industry relationships. Experience and Knowledge Required A four‑year degree in a related field or a combination of a two‑year degree with two years of related experience. Strong competencies in sales/customer engagement, customer service, design/sketching/reading blueprints, color coordination, interior design trends, customer buying habits, and creative thinking. Creative problem‑solving skills to conceptualize innovative solutions and present them to clients. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); customer‑management tools are a plus. Excellent oral, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills. Other Pertinent Job Information The role requires standing, using hands and arms, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing may be needed. The associate may lift and move up to 80 pounds. Vision requirements include close and peripheral vision with the ability to adjust focus.
