Regional Interior Design Assistant

Responsibilities Assist Interior Designers with all aspects of project execution, including conceptual design, space planning, material selection, and procurement. Assist with CAD drafting and space planning tasks under the guidance of senior designers and/or managers. Maintain material library, organizing samples, catalogs, and resources for easy access and reference by the design team. Communicate with vendors on custom order quotes and lead times and assist designers with sourcing and procurement efforts as needed. Prepare and maintain project documentation including purchase orders, meeting notes, agendas, presentations, and follow‑up materials. Attend model installations as necessary. Requirements Bachelor of Arts degree preferred. 1–3 years of interior design or related experience. Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint on a Macintosh platform. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude. Excellent work ethic, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to cope well under pressure and accept constructive feedback. California Motor Vehicle License – unrestricted. Moderate regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) required. Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to operate computer equipment and to speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. Compensation & Benefits We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $17.02 – $26, subject to adjustment based on business‑related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations. This position may be eligible for bonuses. This position may be eligible for commissions.
