Maintenance Assistant

General Purpose:

We arelooking for a motivated assistant to join our maintenance department who willwork under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure thebuilding(s), equipment, and utilities are maintained in good working order andthe center grounds are properly maintained in accordance with resident's needs,government regulations, and company values while providing excellent customerservice to associates, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Performminor repairs and day-to-day repairs, improvements, and preventativemaintenance of the building, equipment, lawn, and grounds, as directed by theMaintenance Supervisor
• Make sureequipment and work areas are kept clean, clear, safe, and free of obstruction
• Participatein disasters and fire drills, as needed
• Follow allsafety rules and regulations
• Performtasks that involve hanging bulletin boards, pictures, and necessary items usedin the residents' rooms, day rooms, common areas, and/or offices
• Report anyincident and/or accident to the Maintenance Supervisor as soon as possible
• May also,perform floor care, as needed
• Previousmaintenance experience preferred, but not required as long as the level ofexperience is at a level necessary to perform the duties of this job
• Must becapable of maintaining regular attendance, as required
• Must beable to work weekends and overtime as required
• Must beable to follow and/or provide strong communication skills effectively throughwritten and oral delivery in a manner appropriate for a healthcare/officesetting
• Must beable to problem solve, if needed
