This role primarily focuses on addiction counseling while providing comprehensive mental health services tailored to our senior clientele. Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while being part of a supportive outpatient team. Although the majority of services can be conducted from home, you will also engage with clients in person when necessary. Our standard workweek runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balance of professional commitments and personal time. We implement innovative telehealth practices to facilitate ongoing support and counseling, ensuring our clients receive uninterrupted care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for seniors to identify specific emotional and psychological needs.

• Design and deliver personalized individual and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing the complex emotional issues associated with aging and life transitions.

• Collaborate actively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to the unique circumstances of each elderly patient.

• Provide education and support for families and caregivers to enhance the emotional well-being of their loved ones as they navigate the challenges of aging.

• Deliver sensitive grief and loss counseling to clients and families facing end-of-life issues, utilizing a compassionate approach to facilitate healing.

• Implement cognitive stimulation programs alongside mental health therapies to maintain and enhance cognitive functioning among seniors.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be the elderly population, specifically those experiencing mental health challenges associated with aging, grief, and changes in their life circumstances. You will be instrumental in fostering resilience among seniors as they transition through life's stages, providing a safe space for them to express and process their emotions significantly.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification is mandatory.

• A minimum of four years of recent experience in psychiatric counseling, particularly with seniors, is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
