Technician - Level 2

Responsibilities This mechanic/technician role performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Responsibilities include: Perform preventive maintenance on Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and other equipment. Diagnose and repair diesel equipment, heavy equipment, and specialty line equipment such as generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil & gas related equipment. Use hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills to maintain equipment performance. Stay flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Provide mechanic’s tools of the trade when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired. 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty line equipment such as large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment. Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical systems with troubleshooting skills. Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs. Physical Demands Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors as required. Related Experience Related experience may include: Shop Mechanic, Mechanic, Technician, Service Foreman, Service Manager, Shop Manager, Mechanic Supervisor, Technician Supervisor, Lead Mechanic, Lead Technician, Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Service Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Hydraulic Technician, Hydraulic Mechanic, ASE Certified Mechanic, IFPS Certified Technician. Base Pay Range $21.38 – $29.39 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on position, location, education, training, and experience.
