CDL B 4 Car Carrier Driver

Job Description

Local transportation company has an opening for a qualified CDL Class A or B driver to assist in Transporting vehicles to Auction. This driver must have a clean driving record. All applicants are subject to pre-employment drug screening and FMCSA regulations.

Please be advised that you must be able to work shift work and must be able to pass pre-employment drug screenings and random testing. This position pays on a per car basis, so the more you transport, the more you make. 

YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION

Responsibilities

Expectations of a Transport Driver :

Complete Pre trip & Post trip inspection daily prior to loading the vehicle.
Verify the VIN numbers of all transport orders prior to loading the vehicle.
Load/unload units per International Recovery Systems standards and safety guidelines
Deliver units on time to various local auctions. Deliveries are time sensitive and must be delivered when scheduled to remain in compliance.  
Communicate with Transport Coordinator if any delivery issues arise
Report any issues with the vehicle that would prevent a delivery from being on time to the Transport Coordinator.
Complete all paperwork once delivery is complete to remain in compliance

Requirements

Requirements of a Transport Driver:

Valid CDL A or B license
Minimum 3 years of verifiable vehicle transport experience
Must be 23 years or older due to insurance requirements
Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
Willingness to work a flexible schedule. Daytime hours, start time may vary due to auction hours.
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
Comfortable operating independently and navigating urban, suburban, and rural environments

Some of the qualifications of our ideal candidate are:

Previous transport or logistics experience
Ability to work in a time sensitive delivery environment.
Strong attention to detail when verifying VINs and recovery paperwork
Proficient with laptops/iPad
