Description


This is a part-time position under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator. This individual will organize, plan and facilitate Cheer practices and games for the community for the City of Holland Parks & Recreation Department. The Youth Cheer Instructor receives supervision and assignments from the Recreation Manager and the Recreation Program Coordinator; however, the Youth Cheer Instructor is encouraged to develop innovative ideas to promote and grow the recreation department.
Examples of Duties
1. Plan, organize and supervise cheer practices & games for youth.

2. Will be involved in public relations.

3. Will be involved in Youth Cheer promotion.


4. Regularly reviews and inspects facilities and equipment for any potential hazards and reports and submits repair/replacement requests to the City of Holland Recreation Department.


5. Responsible for following safety rules, policies, regulations, and procedures. Completes accident reports and files them with the Recreation Division. Provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere at all times.


6. Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees and the general public. Maintain a professional image, in person, through email and by telephone.


7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications


1. Must have experience in Cheer as a participant or instructor.
2. Ability to pass a background check.
3. Physical ability to occasionally lift/push/pull/transport equipment and materials weighting up to 50 pounds.
