Responsibilities:

• Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby.
• Provide specialized nursing care with PICU and NICU experience.
• Comfortably handle pediatric patients across multiple units.
• Adhere to UVAs float policy and maintain compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Complete detailed patient assessments and documentation using Epic electronic health records.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), BLS, NRP, and ACLS.
• Support the clinical team during nights and weekends as scheduled.
• Follow Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification guidelines (pending or obtain prior to start).
