- Assess patients of all ages utilizing standardized evaluations and observational strategies.
- Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both short- and long-term objectives for communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Deliver focused speech therapy interventions that underscore communication, language dynamics, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caretakers, and families to establish integrated care plans.
- Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Assist with inpatient evaluations and treatments as needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care during every phase of the treatment process.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation, adhering to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Continue professional development by staying informed about the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer interactions.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.
- Authorization to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
- Preferred: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for diverse age groups, along with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
