PURPOSE:
The Primary purpose of this position is to assist Silver State Schools Credit Union to live out its Mission, "Excellent Member Service and Financial Solutions – For Life," while "Placing People over Profit" and providing outstanding service to both members and internal members. Develop a highly effective team of employees to their highest potential through coaching and leadership. Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members. A key component of this service is to identify the financial needs of the member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution.

SUMMARY:
The Loan Servicing Manager provides leadership, strategy, process improvement, operational skills, and management within the loan servicing department. The oversight includes managing the servicing of the credit union's loan portfolio as well as oversight of loans being serviced by others. This position is responsible for oversight of the personnel involved in servicing members' loans including boarding of loans, credit reporting, statement processing, quality control/audit reviews and responses. Further responsibilities include pledging and securitizing loans, extensions, revision, or loan modifications, disbursing and reconciling residential real estate escrow accounts, tracking collateral insurance, handling warranty and insurance claims, default monitoring, staying abreast of any new or updated regulatory servicing requirements and reporting, general ledger integrity and IRS reporting is correct, as well as ensuring data integrity such that analytics on the loan portfolio is optimized. The Loan Servicing Manager may lead specific projects and be required to allocate resources to achieve successful outcomes for the project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to:

• Ensures that all department functions conform to all state and/or national legislative and regulatory requirements and to all credit union policies, operating guidelines, and procedures in a timely manner, preparing response(s) to audit/examination findings and correcting deficiencies in a timely manner both for internal and external serviced loans.
  Overseeing all the Loan Servicing Department's routine and cyclical functions
  Validate the CR&LS Operational Guideline for updates and improvements Fortify best practice and regulatory requirements on the servicing of First Mortgages, Home Equity's, Member Business Loans, and all Consumer loans
  Ensures that loan statements, late notices and escrow analyses are compliant with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau's rules and regulations
• Monitors and manages third party relationship, quality control/assurance and operations with sub servicers to ensure servicing agreements and best practice are followed as desired for the benefit of the credit union
• Serves as one of the Custodian of Records – Pledged loan reporting
• Vendor Management – some site visits and performs risk rating with Quantivate
• In person Sub servicer site visit for best practice and quality validation
• Improves, develops, and integrates exception reporting to identify problem areas, inconsistencies to improve the departments performance and member information accuracy
• Monitors and improve lending boarding process to ensure loans are boarded on the credit union's servicing platforms in a timely manner and that all loan level attributes flow into those platforms so that optimal analytics of the closed loan portfolio can be obtained later
• Partner with analysts, technology, and digital leaders to develop and implement plans for the operation infrastructure of systems, process, and personnel to drive advances for operational enhancement, excellence, and improved member experiences.
• Ensure key operation and regulatory requirements are met
• Credit Migration – Credit Disparagement - Monitors and review open-end lines of credit and credit cards, based on a member's most recent credit score and other characteristics. Reduces or cancels credit limits in conformity with current lending guidelines; ensuring prompt delivery of a correct adverse-action notice is delivered to members.
• Guarantees that market values are obtained and maintained on loans secured by residential real estate and that secured credit limits, on open-end loan programs, are reduced in a timely manner and that correct adverse action notices are sent to members as required by regulation Manage the quality control/assurance program including loan portfolio audits and reverification; analyze aspects of loan quality; review delinquencies and prepare quarterly forecast recommendation reports for the Allowance Committee
• Assist AVP of Loan Servicing and Credit Resolution with the Credit Resolution Department as needed
• Assist the AVP of Loan Servicing and Credit Resolutions with monitoring payment application, collections on delinquent accounts, liaison with outside collection agencies and vendors, Foreclosures, REO's, Bankruptcies, Repossessions, and Repo Remarketing
• Assist the AVP of Loan Servicing and Credit Resolutions with compiling data to prepare reports on loan files to recommend for sale on secondary market
• Assist the AVP of Loan Servicing and Credit Resolutions with compiling data to prepare reports for loans for participation purchase
• MERS QA/QC: Daily, Weekly, Monthly staff assignment; Monthly audit sampling; quarterly attestation
• Validates that residential real estate escrow accounts are correctly maintained and that escrow account disbursements are processed in a timely manner.
• Check that collateral insurance is maintained by the member, or the credit union on behalf of the member, for all collateralized loans.
• Verify that loan statements, late notices, 1098/1099 tax reports and escrow analysis are compliant with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau's rules and regulations.
• Safeguard IRS reporting of interest paid by members is correctly and timely reported and sent to the membership
• Oversees payment and balancing of system amounts corresponds to general ledger and accounting department instructions.
• Supports and assists with loss mitigation efforts of the credit union's loan portfolio.
• Works with other management and their staffs, to ensure harmony and services levels are maintained in all aspects of lending. Works with other operational areas of the credit union to achieve corporate goals.
• Works with the AVP of Loan Servicing and Credit Resolutions to enhance overall team experience and lending process.
• Performs such other functions and tasks as assigned by AVP of Loan Servicing and Credit Resolution and executive management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 5 years in financial services or a post-high school degree from an accredited institution of higher learning preferably in business, finance, economics, engineering or math.
