In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions, we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.

BAE Systems is looking for a Semior Principle Process Engineer on the Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) operations test and manufacturing team. This position will support multiple factories in Nashua.

The Position will include the following duties:

• Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for core manufacturing technology and specialized manufacturing processes across ACES manufacturing portfolio.
• Teach, train and/or assists TechOps or Operations Technicians responsible for the daily utilization of special manufacturing equipment and processes. Provides mentorship to other process engineers, test engineers or methods writers within the factory.
• Develops, leads and or supports projects to improve, expand, introduce or develop new manufacturing technology to support the factories and their respective programs. This may also include their respective acquisition, installation validation, day to day useage and sustainment.
• Supports manufacturing by resolving downtime issues as assigned.
• Maximizes utilization of existing manufacturing core technology across ACES factories and increases capability and capacity where needed.
• Works and supports special projects or the CEMA Operational Excellence team as needed.
• Works with Paperless team to improve manufacturing integration and capabilities to assist both routine usage and special case capabilities.
• Assist the ACES TechOps Team with other duties as assigned.
• Designs, develops, maintains and improves manufacturing processes and procedures while supporting or leading production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, and applicable material handling.
• Designs, specifies and acquires fixtures, tools and equipment required to support manufacturing.
• Collaborates with other functions such as supply chain, quality engineering and program engineering teams. Works closely with Test Engineering to assist with test debug and associated rework as applicable.

The individual will work in both office spaces and production environment supporting the factory full time onsite.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelors degree in an Engineering Discipline
• At least 8 years of process engineering or equivelent experience.
• Extensive experience in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Equipment, Manufacturing Processes, automation and Methods used from component assembly through final assembly builds.
• Extensive experience with enginering material design and transition to production.
• Experience with Paperless or equivelent MES stystem; Proficient understanding or experience of other contributing roles such as planning, supply chain and quality to the MES system and processes.
• Must posses a secret clearance.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Active Secret Clearance
• Strong MES Paperless (BAE) Systems proficiency preferred.
• Strong experence with AS9100(ISO 9000), AS9145(APQP) or equivalent quality standards preferred
• Strong leadership, people skills, judgement and problem-solving capabilities.
• Solid communication, teamwork and integration know-how will be required to work effectively across functions at multiple levels.
• Exhibit sound judgment, initiative, and self-motivation and be able to complete complex tasks with minimal guidance.
• Must be hands on and prepared to roll up your sleeves and work closely with program teams, manufacturing, or test engineers to sustain, or improve key manufacturing processes and/or support them to close complex issues.
• Lean, SPC, 6 Sigma experience preferred. Should be able to conduct root cause investigation using applicable quality tools.
• Confident with office applications and data analysis using excel, Minitab, or equivalent.
• Manage time effectively while dealing with a variety of issues in a dynamic environment.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
