Take the next step in your therapy career working as a school-based physical therapist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This contract assignment focuses exclusively on supporting elementary-aged students in a dynamic, inclusive learning environment near Long Beach, California. With a consistent schedule of 40 hours each week and daily shifts from either 7:30 am to 4:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, you’ll enjoy a structured routine designed to foster student growth and development.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current California licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Previous experience providing physical therapy services in a school setting preferred
• Deep understanding of pediatric physical therapy, especially for elementary-age students
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educational teams and families
• Ability to develop, implement, and document individualized therapy plans
• Organizational skills to handle a full weekly schedule and varied caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to elementary school students
• Evaluate gross motor skills, mobility, and equipment needs, creating effective treatment plans
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and parents to support each child’s educational goals
• Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes promptly and accurately
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional input for student success
• Utilize best practices and evidence-based interventions to enhance student learning opportunities
