Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems. Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. These include but are not limited to wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps. Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc., to diagnose and repair equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with the district staff and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Electronically complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding and obtain customer’s signature. Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning hands‑on technical skills; experience in automotive, plumbing, or related trades is a plus. High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to learn how to read and understand blueprints, submittals and product or operational manuals. Comfortable using smartphones and basic mobile applications (iPhone). Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying and moving tools, equipment and materials weighing up to 50–70 lbs. Willing and able to work in a variety of environments, including climbing ladders, scaffolding and lift equipment up to 40 feet, as well as working in crawl spaces, ducts and above ceilings. Flexible availability, including occasional weekends, to support customer needs. Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation; occasional overnight travel may be required. Customer‑focused with a professional and friendly attitude when working with clients. Ability to keep tools, equipment and vehicle inventory organized to support daily work activities. Commitment to learning and following all safety policies and procedures. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn new skills. Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company requirements. Ability to pass pre‑employment background, motor vehicle and drug screening. Willingness to obtain and maintain a required State Fire Protection License (training or support may be provided, as applicable). Hourly Wage Hirings hourly range: Starting at $22.00, based on experience. (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
