The successful candidate will join a talented, high-performing team and work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth.Responsibilities will primarily include graphic design and close collaboration with Holton's development team on communications, collateral material development, and messaging. Projects will include, but are not limited to, development and other efforts to advance the school. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will execute tactics that support Holton's broader marketing and communications strategy and play a key role in telling Holton's story.The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing and communications within an educational setting, preferably at an independent school; a strong background in graphic design; expertise in digital advertising and media planning; and an understanding of, or experience with, philanthropy and fundraising. This role will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, members of the marketing and communications team, and departments across campus, particularly development.ResponsibilitiesGraphic Design: Design print and digital materials for multiple areas of the School.Partner with the Development Office on communications and marketing activities such as donor storytelling, alumnae newsletter, campaign materials, and other collateral materials.Create compelling written, visual and digital content that advances Holton’s narrativeServe as a trusted communications partner to departments across campusQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree required, ideally in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related fieldThree to seven years of relevant professional experience.Demonstrated graphic design expertise and a strong design portfolio.Experience working with, or a strong understanding of, a development office and philanthropic communications.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other leading design software.Superior organizational and project management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Videography experience is a plus.Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and BelongingHolton-Arms cherishes the uniqueness of each of our members including current and former students, faculty, and staff.
