POSITION OVERVIEW

The Care Coordination Training Specialist supports all training efforts in service of Child First implementing partner organizations (IPO). This role requires facilitation and cofacilitation of training to develop, strengthen and sustain the Child First program practitioners’ knowledge and understanding of the model to support implementation with fidelity. This position is responsible for codeveloping and establishing sustainability efforts within workforce development that are in the best interest of a healthy and sustainable Child First network. This position will have the opportunity to engage in organizational efforts focused on enhancing Child First model implementation, practice integrity, quality enhancement, as well as equity and inclusion. Additionally, this position will support organizational initiatives within the infant and early childhood mental health national community focused on thought leadership and innovation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

60% Training Development and Delivery Facilitate and/or cofacilitates live-remote and in-person training sessions as necessary to support the Child First network. Leads model-specific consultation calls supporting model implementation. Supports the Child First Training team within the learning management system for session registrations, attendance, and other necessary reports/projects. Co-leads development of training agendas and updates to and utilization of training resources systems (i.e., Padlet) for Child First trainings. Engages in continuous improvement of training curricula (e.g., ongoing evaluation and updating of training materials, ensuring content remains current, evidence-informed, and responsive to policy or model changes). Reviews and evaluates training feedback and collaborates on the development and implementation of quality improvement plans for training sessions/materials based on feedback. 30% Subject Matter Expertise & Cross-Collaboration Engages across the organization to bring subject matter expertise into cross-functional groups, committees, and initiatives (e.g., early relational health, racial and social justice, and reflective practice). Engages in organizational projects to assess IECMH training needs of communities, pilot new approaches, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs. Develop training products, workshops, and technical assistance offerings to external partners as warranted. Represent the organization as a subject matter expert by presenting at conferences, building partnerships, and promoting the home visiting model and training expertise to new audiences 10% Administrative Support, Team Engagement, and Technical Expertise Engages with the Child First programs learning management system in service to Child First and utilize educational software in conjunction with instructional design team. Actively participates in Clinical-Training team and cross-collaborative groups in service to network health and sustainability. Participate in larger organizational meetings, Child First departmental meetings, and individual supervision regularly.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human development and family studies, early childhood education, public health, counseling, sociology, or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the role of Child First Care Coordinator required. Demonstrated knowledge of infant and early childhood development, including social-emotional development and early relational health, and core principles of infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) Strong understanding of the Child First model , including key components, clinical frameworks, and expectations for high-fidelity implementation Experience developing and delivering trainings using adult learning principles, with strong facilitation skills in both in-person and virtual settings Ability to translate complex clinical concepts into clear, practical guidance that supports skill-building and application in the field Knowledge of reflective practice and experience supporting relationship-based work with practitioners and teams Experience working with diverse families, with a commitment to culturally responsive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and troubleshoot system and workflow issues Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage multidisciplinary teams and build effective working relationships Experience supporting implementation, coaching, or continuous quality improvement efforts within home visiting, early childhood, or behavioral health settings Travel as necessary (estimated 20% of the time), dependent on current public health conditions and business need.
