Mercedes-Benz of Palo Alto sits in the heart of Silicon Valley -- a high-volume luxury store serving one of the most discerning guest bases in the country. The Back Counter Parts Support role is a critical function within our service operation -- ensuring technicians have the parts they need to keep the shop productive, the repair orders moving, and the guest experience on track.

What you'll do

Support service technicians at the back counter -- pulling, staging, and delivering parts to the shop floor accurately and efficiently

Process parts requests from technicians -- looking up part numbers, verifying fitment, and sourcing from inventory or ordering as needed

Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts shipments -- verifying accuracy against purchase orders and processing inventory into the DMS

Maintain bin organization, warehouse cleanliness, and parts inventory accuracy throughout the department

Process warranty parts, cores, and returns per Mercedes-Benz OEM procedures and dealership standards

Follow up on back-ordered and special-order parts -- communicating status updates to technicians and service advisors proactively

Assist the front counter and parts manager with additional tasks as needed to keep the department running without interruption

Support cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain accuracy across the parts operation

What we're looking for

Previous parts counter, parts warehouse, or automotive service support experience preferred

Mercedes-Benz or European luxury brand experience a strong plus -- familiarity with MBZ parts systems and OEM platforms is a significant advantage

Detail-oriented and accurate -- parts errors slow down technicians and impact guest delivery times

Comfortable with parts lookup systems and DMS platforms -- Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred

Able to manage multiple technician requests simultaneously without losing accuracy or pace

Physically capable of lifting, stocking, and moving parts throughout the shift

Reliable, organized, and self-directed -- you take ownership of the back counter without needing constant oversight

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
