Job Responsibilities
- Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess the individual needs of patients and craft customized therapy strategies to help them reach their functional milestones.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to support improvements in patients' motor abilities, cognitive skills, and everyday activities.
- Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Work alongside fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to deliver comprehensive care that addresses the whole person.
- Educate Patients and Family Members: Provide guidance and insight to patients and their caregivers regarding therapy approaches that foster ongoing progress at home.
- Track and Adjust Progress: Monitor clinical developments and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure patients maintain their trajectory towards recovery.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Encouragement for continuing education and support for advanced certifications
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification needed
- A genuine passion for enhancing patient lives coupled with a strong commitment to fostering their independence
- Ability to communicate efficiently and empathetically with patients and team members alike
