About the Position

RN Med Surg / Telemetry – Nights
Location: Arizona (Floating to Mesa as needed)
Pay: $2000/week
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Duration: 13 Weeks (extension possible)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Med Surg/Telemetry RN with strong clinical fundamentals and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility to float between facilities and confidence in cardiac monitoring.

Required Qualifications

Active RN License (AZ or Compact)
BLS & ACLS Certification – Required
Minimum 1–2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience
Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills (exam required)
Driver’s License required at submission

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for Med Surg and Telemetry patients
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
Manage post-surgical patients (e.g., appendectomy, cholecystectomy)
Administer medications and treatments per protocol
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR
Float to sister facility in Mesa as needed

Work Environment

Unit: 16-bed Med Surg/Telemetry
Patient population: Post-surgical, general Med Surg, Telemetry
Telemetry monitoring available
RT support 24/7; Pharmacy support (remote after 6 PM)
No IV team – RN autonomy required

Schedule & Requirements

12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
Every other weekend required
Holiday rotation (A/B schedule)
Floating required to sister facility (Mesa)
Orientation: 2 days

Important Notes

Must pass dysrhythmia exam (≥80%) within 2 attempts prior to contract
Sim Lab (Pass/Fail) required on Day 1 of orientation
Radius Rule: 50 miles (no recent employment with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within 1 year)
