Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee - Litholink
$23.8 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee in Itasca, Illinois to perform laboratory testing procedures, operate instrumentation, and ensure specimen quality. Full training provided for new graduates; shift work required including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability and process samples according to established protocols
- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures following departmental standard operating procedures
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
- Conduct preventative maintenance, quality control, and reagent preparation procedures
- Report accurate test results and maintain safe work environment with appropriate personal protective equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Three months or more clinical laboratory testing experience preferred
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Compensation: $23.80 per hour plus shift differential
