Full-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross‑trained in all departments to support where needed and provide inspirational training to all employees. The Assistant Manager may advance to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months. Responsibilities Follows the direction of the General Manager Supports the General Manager’s decisions in communication with the staff Works in all departments and all theatre job functions Trains and coaches Team Members in their specific job functions Assists in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager Observes and participates in inspections of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof and exterior signage, and equipment condition Reports the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager Ensures that theatre Team Members follow the dress code Interacts with Guests to improve service and ensures Team Members provide superior customer service Learns and follows the policies and procedures established in Cinemark’s Guidelines and enforces them fairly and consistently with all Team Members Reports all employee‑relations issues to the General Manager (or to in the GM’s absence) Follows the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol and upholds a high standard of work ethic and code of conduct Consistently identifies and sanitizes high‑contact employee and guest areas Properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks Properly addresses safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) Performs other work‑related duties as assigned Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age High school or G.E.D. graduate preferred Complete three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program Complete basic food‑handling training and obtain any local or state‑mandated certification, health card, or food‑handler’s permit where required Complete Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Require regular and consistent attendance Have an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift Provide excellent guest service Accurate cash handling and basic math skills Interpersonal skills to communicate verbally and in writing with all ages, genders, and personalities Must effectively converse in and comprehend English Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Ability to take and follow direction Respond with a sense of urgency Excellent time‑management, organization, and attention to detail Ability to train and lead others Resolve conflict when it arises Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50lbs; frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre. Noise level may be moderate to high at times. Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods.
