HVAC Service Controls Technician

Ameresco is currently looking for a HVAC Controls Service Technician to work in the Bradenton, Florida area. The incumbent works on new construction and retrofit projects in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and industrial facilities, providing services for HVAC and Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, including startup, commissioning, and ongoing service. Responsibilities Program, integrate, and perform system startup, service, commissioning, and owner training for HVAC and DDC systems. Develop and document project records, ensuring client expectations are met. Build and maintain client relationships, providing open communication with clients and project managers. Assist in developing and improving related processes, procedures, and tools. Reinforce safe work practices and ensure adherence to all safety requirements per the company’s safety program. Travel to local job sites and, when necessary, to other locations within Central Florida. Provide a company van for site travel. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of HVAC/R controls/service experience. High School Diploma or equivalent experience in lieu of education. Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking. Basic technological proficiency and familiarity with iPad operation. Basic understanding of electricity, electrical circuits, and HVAC mechanical concepts. Experience with building automation systems, including Automated Logic, Alerton, Delta, Distech, Reliable, Computrol, JCI, Siemens, Trane, and/or Tridium. Tridium AX or N4 certification. Experience with BACnet, LON, or Modbus protocols. Experience with Visio and AutoCAD. Benefits Company van provided for site travel. Travel may be required within Central Florida.
