About the Position

Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP preferred Must-Have: Experience with high-risk maternal patients. Circulating Operating Room and triage experience. Description: Contract position for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. Schedule is 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. No call required. Unit is a designated maternal center caring for complex patients. The unit has 22 beds, including 16 labor beds. Approximately 100 staff members work on the unit. Staffing includes day and night charge nurses, surgical techs, unit clerks, and RNs. Patient ratios are 1:2 and 1:1. The unit performs vaginal and cesarean deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage procedures, D&C, C-hyst, and PASD cases. Looking for candidates who are multi-taskers, can work in a fast-paced environment, and are team-oriented. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. The unit has standardized order sets available for staff. The unit has received recognition as one of America's Best Maternity Hospitals in 2023. The facility has a Level 4 Client Designation, the highest level of care in the state. Undergoing renovations to update all rooms on the floor. The unit offers support from management, who can provide patient care when needed. Long-term leadership is dedicated to supporting staff and ensuring a collaborative environment.
