Contracts AdministratorThe Harry Walker Agency, a business unit of WME, seeks a smart and motivated Contracts Administrator to join its Business Affairs Department in New York, NY. Primary responsibilities include organizational and administrative support of the business affairs team as a core job duty, drafting and negotiation of speaking engagement contracts (in consultation with sales agents and talent managers) for high profile individuals, including entertainers, athletes, authors, global thought leaders and former heads of state. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, be highly organized, and have keen judgment. The ability to handle a high-volume of work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment is a must.Responsibilities Include:Work with BA executives to manage team work flow, meetings, record keeping, deal tracking and documentationSupport the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processesDraft contracts between speakers, the agency and hosting organizationsProcess contract edits and revisions in a time sensitive and professional mannerAdeptly manage and prioritize assignments on a minute to minute basis, including using CRM to keep detailed records, following team processes and structuresAccurately and professionally communicate internally with all internal stakeholders, including team managers, sales agents and talent managersCommunicate as necessary via phone and email with host organizations, including including domestic and international corporations, non-profits, trade associations and institutions of higher learningPerform special projects as requiredYou Have These:Bachelor's degree with demonstrated interest in the entertainment industry and/or as a legal assistant, paralegal or contracts professionalStrong desire to work in the entertainment industryDetail oriented with outstanding organizational skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsSolutions-focused with a strong work ethic and drive to learn and contributeAn upbeat, positive, communicative team-player with a no-nonsense approach to workPer local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience.
