We are looking for an experienced and customer service-oriented Data Analyst to join our Information Technology team. TheData Analyst'srole is to design data modeling/analysis services used to mine enterprise systems and applications for knowledge and information that enhance business processes. This individual is also responsible forassistinginbuilding, deploying, andmaintainingdata support tools, metadata inventories, and definitions for database file/table creation.
This individual is also expected to take a lead inpreventing data quality issuesbydevelopingand monitoring data quality metricsto provide feedback to business units.This person will alsocreate and provide training tofacilitatethis goal.
Strategy & Planning
- Develop, deploy, andmaintainrequired datamanagementenvironmentsin response to business needs.
- Develop data models andpipelinesforingestingproduction datafrom a variety of sources and source types.
- Assistin thecreationof data managementand data qualitypolicies and procedures.
Operational Management
- Design andmaintaindashboards, reports, and ad hoc analysesfor stakeholders.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources toidentifytrends, patterns, andactionable insights.
- Parter with business unitsto understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Develop, implement, andmaintainchange control and testing processes for modifications to data models.
- Document andmaintainmetadata, business definitions, and data lineage where applicable.
- Support data governance initiatives, including data quality rules, controls, and audits.
- Monitor and improve data quality byidentifyingissues, performingroot-cause analysis, and coordinating remediation.
- Developtrainingfor endusers tofacilitatebest-practiceuse ofdatamanagement tools.
- Collaborate withotheradministrators to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.
- Monitor datamanagement systemperformanceandimplement efficiency improvements.
EDUCATION
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or statistics, and/or2yearsofequivalent work experiencerequired.
- Certifications inMicrosoft Fabric (DP-600, DP-700) and Power BI (PL-300)preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job.
- Strong understanding of datamodels, structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of data modeling tools such asMicrosoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Strong familiarity with data preparation, processing, classification, and forecasting.
- Working technical experience with relational database servers, includingMicrosoft SQL.
- Direct experience with data management techniques.
- Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
- Involvement in inter-departmental projects and experience communicating with various stakeholders.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Extended visual use of a computer screen.
