School-based and/or Center-based Pediatric Physical Therapist with Flexible Hours

Role Description The School-based position is in a nearby town providing school-based physical therapy services for 2.5 days per week. There is also availability for center-based Pediatric Physical Therapy services to be provided in our location in Livingston. The therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating children with a variety of motor, orthopedic, and developmental needs in educational and clinic settings. Day-to-day tasks include conducting functional assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and documenting progress according to professional and regulatory standards. The role involves collaborating with families, teachers, and other therapists to integrate therapy goals into classroom routines and daily activities, as well as providing training and consultation to caregivers and school staff. The Pediatric Physical Therapist will participate in IEP meetings, contribute to interdisciplinary planning, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders. This is an on-site role located in Livingston, NJ. Qualifications Strong foundation in Physical Therapy, with the ability to assess and treat pediatric motor and functional needs. Specialized skills in Pediatric Physical Therapy, including experience with school-based or center-based rehabilitation programs. Knowledge of Medicine and Pediatrics as they relate to child development, orthopedic conditions, and neurological diagnoses. NJ school certification preferred Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey. Graduate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT or equivalent) from an accredited program. Ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication and documentation skills. Experience in school settings (IEP processes, educational therapy models) or pediatric outpatient centers is preferred.
