Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare organization in Lewiston, Maine. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a well-equipped unit serving adult and geriatric populations, with a focus on telemetry and cardiac monitoring. The role supports a dynamic healthcare team in a teaching hospital setting with a commitment to delivering comprehensive emergency and specialty care. Job Details: Schedule: Nights shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification with Cerner experience, 2 or 3 years of relevant Telemetry experience, and a minimum of 0 years of experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing various cardiac dysrhythmias, stroke, congestive heart failure (CHF), atrial fibrillation (A-fib), arrhythmias, and intervention procedures such as cardiacath/stent placement. Additional Information: The unit has 37 beds with patient ratios of 1:4-5. Equipment includes Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitoring, and defibrillators used during patient transport. The electronic health record system utilized is EPIC. The patient population served includes adult and geriatric patients requiring telemetry, post-operative care, and management of cardiac conditions. No float requirements are noted, except for help in the Emergency Room.
