Senior Estimator, Heavy Civil

We are in search of an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator with an extensive background in Heavy Civil Estimating. This role is ideal for professionals skilled in excavation, foundation work, deep foundation drilling, and concrete work, specializing in building and land-based construction projects. The position requires expertise in managing intricate estimating tasks, particularly for public bidding and projects within the New York City area.

The Senior Estimator will play a crucial role in accurately predicting project costs, crafting comprehensive proposals, and collaborating with project teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and cost-effectively.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience as an estimator in the NYC heavy civil market, focusing on excavation, foundations, deep foundation drilling, concrete superstructure, bridges, heavy roadways, and infrastructure.
• Proven track record of bidding on projects exceeding $20,000,000.
• Comprehensive understanding of typical construction means and methods, with a strong grasp of production.
• Minimum of 3 years as the lead estimator, with responsibilities including finalizing bids and proposals, completing bid books and forms, and submission.
• Proficiency in Excel, Adobe PDF, and Bluebeam is required.
• At least 5 years of direct agency bidding experience with entities such as NYC DDC, DEP, DOT, SCA, Parks Dept, and Sanitation Dept. Experience in Jersey is advantageous.
• Professional experience with contractors for more than 3 years per employer is mandatory.
• Candidates should reside within a 90-120-minute radius.
