RN GI EndoscopySchedule: 1.0FTE- 4 10 hour shifts- 7am-5:30pmLocation: Plymouth - MNGI Digestive HealthSalary Range: Starting range $40.39 - $46.45/hour (Where an applicant may fall on the salary range will vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience & education)Health Coverage: Medical, Dental & Vision InsuranceRetirement: 401(K) with Company Match, Profit SharingTime Off: Generous PTO, Holiday Pay, Floating HolidayDisability Coverage: Short & Long-Term DisabilityFamily Support: Paid Leave and DisabilityPerformance Incentive: Discretionary Bonus Based on Company, Department, and Individual GoalsRecord patients' medical history and assessment.Start IV/saline lock.Perform INR and glucose testing.Prepare patients for and assist physician in endoscopy procedures.Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records in the electronic health record.Recovery of sedated patients and discharge assessments.Utilize proper infection control techniques.Monitor all aspects of patient care, anticipate patient and physician needs.Instruct individuals and families on topics such as health education and disease prevention.Additional Responsibilities May Include:Infusion and injection administrationEsophageal Motility/PH testingARM/BiofeedbackInterSTIM wire placement and removalAssist with BRAVO Capsule placementCapsule studiesMaintain supplies by keeping supplies stock for the Endoscopy Center and order as neededOn-Call Prep RN (Vadnais Heights Endoscopy Site) Responding to patient calls while on call (evening, weekend or holiday)At our Vadnais Heights, Lakeville, Northeast Minneapolis and Maple Grove Endoscopy Sites: Admission, recovery, and procedural care of pediatric patientsAll RNs at the Northeast Minneapolis location will be expected to care for pediatric patientsAny and all other duties as assignedEssential Functions: In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and regular attendance is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing required.One to two years of clinical experience is preferred.GI related experience is preferred.Experience using an Electronic Health Record is required.PACU experience preferredCurrent Minnesota Nursing License is required.Must be BLS certified.Pediatric sites require PALS certification for Charge Nurses.Required Knowledge: Gastrointestinal system, Infection control practices, Emergency response, Microsoft Office applications, Medical terminologyRequired Skills: Assessment, Compassionate patient care, Active listening, Problem solve, prioritization, and critical thinking, Attention to detail and organizationKey Abilities: Multitask, Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, Work independently as well as in a team environment, Type proficiently and accuratelyPhysical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to walk, sit, stand, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. Employees may be required to travel to other company locations due to staffing and training needs.Working Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee works in an office environment. The employee is exposed to a computer monitor daily. The employee may be required to travel by automobile and exposed to changing weather conditions while performing the duties of this position.
