By providing customers with life's essentials, we enable businesses to grow, communities to prosper, and consumers to live well.This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Senior Account Manager – Personal Care (Open to Remote within US) will help sell a portfolio of the company's technical (Cargill Beauty/Personal Care) and nontechnical products (commodities such as Citric Acid and Glycerin products.), services, and solutions directly to current and new customers. In this role, you will provide thought leadership to a sales team through a thorough understanding of business, financials, products and services, the market and the needs and challenges of assigned accounts.Candidates must live within close proximity to a major airport to support travel requirements for this role. This position requires up to 50% travel.Key AccountabilitiesInform customers of our new products, services, and prices.With guidance, create, monitor, and maintain lead generation plans to develop substantive sales opportunities.Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.Contribute to developing and delivering sales bids, proposals and presentations and conducting product demonstrations.Help develop medium-to-long-term sales plans, preparing strategies to protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers.Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of four years of related work experience in sales for chemical products or personal care products or related fieldAbility to travel up to 50%, including air travel and driving to customer or business locationsValid driver's license in good standingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMore than five years of solution selling experience in the personal care industryExperience with key account management and distributionApplicant InformationThe expected salary for this position is $130,000 - 150,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.At Cargill we put people first.
