What You'll DoWe’re looking for an Equity Analyst to join the Aligned Investors team. Aligned Investors is a long-term, fundamental investment team with ~$53bn in AUM across two U.S. equity strategies: Principal MidCap and Principal Blue Chip.Our approach focuses on investing in high quality businesses with durable competitive advantages that are led by owner-operators and excellent management teams. The analyst team plays a central role in our process through deep, proprietary fundamental research.This is a generalist role, however having a technology background would be beneficial.In this role, you will:Conduct deep fundamental research on U.S. equities and industriesEvaluate competitive dynamics, industry structure and trends impacting existing and potential investmentsMonitor portfolio holdings and identify new investment opportunitiesDevelop and communicate differentiated perspectives and recommendations to the Portfolio ManagersWho You Are4+ years of public or private equity investment experience, ten or more preferredDemonstrated experience conducting deep fundamental research on individual companiesSkills That Will Help You Stand Out MBA or CFA designationTechnology sector experienceSelf-starter with the ability to independently drive the research processPassion for investing and alignment with Aligned Investors’ investment philosophy (applying a long-term, fundamental, bottom-up research approach to evaluating individual companies)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience interacting with management teams and industry expertsAdvanced proficiency in financial modeling and valuation (Excel)Fluency with applying Artificial Intelligence tools in the equity research processWillingness to travel for company visits, conferences, and researchSalary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)$141000 - $285000 / year Salary DetailsWe are willing to hire at various levels based on years and related experience. The base salary range of $141,000 - $285,000 reflects market-specific compensation for this position across multiple job levels. Candidates will be evaluated to determine the appropriate job level based on their skills and experience.In addition to the base pay, you are also eligible for an annual bonus based off performance.Base pay estimated ranges for the various Analyst levels are:4+ years experience: $141,000-$191,00006+ years experience: $179,000 - $243,00012+ years experience: $211,000 - $285,000The hiring team will decide based upon your experience, what level of Analyst you would be hired into.Time Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
