In addition, the candidate will collaborate across asset teams to ensure data integration throughout the organization. The position is directly responsible for data quality control, managing databases, support of GIS mapping and analysis, and delivery of files, reports and analysis to support technical work within the geoscience team as well as supporting daily oil & gas operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support and best workflow practices for geoscientists that generate, high-grade, and drill oil and gas opportunitiesWork across disciplines with technicians and analysts to ensure consistent data management strategies. Create and manage well and seismic projects and ensure geoscience staff are accessing current and accurate data in support of near-term business development opportunities.Import/Export and quality control of seismic, well, and culture data to and from various applications; syncing data across projects and systems.Able to navigate government and industry databases to ensure high quality data are provided to geoscientists across all onshore US basins. Collaborates with data analytics teams in engineering and IT to ensure geoscience products are maintained for quantitative analysis. Assists geoscientists interfacing with GIS teams to generate maps of spatial data.Keeps supervisor informed of progress and may recommend procedural/operational changesMaintain Crescent’s subsurface studies database.Build and maintain Crescent’s geoscience competitive intelligence maps and databasesDevelops and maintains strong external relationships with representatives from state and federal agencies, TGS, IHS, S&P and EnverusEstablishes and maintains highly confidential record files for reference useOrders or downloads logs and other recordsAccumulates and analyzes data for reports, makes log cross sectionsTransfers and loads digital log and map dataMakes computations and calculations to assist geologists in their analysisAssists geologists in the preparation of various reports, plans and budgetsEnsures timely completion and accuracy of assigned projectsQualificationsRequired Education, Experience, LicensureBachelor’s Degree15+ Years of oil & gas industry experienceExperience with Kingdom (required) and Petra (preferred) software packagesExperience supporting geophysical data managementPoint contact with external O&G data sources like IHS, Enverus and TGSFamiliarity with public data sources, including state and federal data in both Texas and New MexicoProficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPointPossess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehiclePreferred Education, Experience, LicensureB.S./B.A. Degree in math, science or related fieldSignificant experience with an E&P Company engaged in unconventional resource developmentProficiency in project and database managementGIS knowledge and experience, specifically QGIS softwareOil & gas data analysis and interpretationFamiliarity with Spotfire and/or Power BIDevelopment planning and/or operations experience is a plusRequired Core Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesWell-developed analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to research informationStrong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracyStrong computer skills and technology skillsAbility to understand when to work independently with minimal supervision and when to contribute as part of a teamAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAbility to identify issues, troubleshoot, develop and implement solutionsExcellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate high ethical and professional behaviorAble to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and deadlinesAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and foster and encourage teamworkAble to recognize and apply safety processes and proceduresCrescent Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
