About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Texas Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas

Schedule: 13-week contract, Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends, no on-call required Highlights:

• 48-bed emergency department with additional fast track and behavioral health units
• Patient ratios: 1:4 general ED, 1:3 cardiac/trauma, 1:5 behavioral health
• MEDITECH EMR system with modern equipment including Alaris pumps and Stryker stretchers
• Comprehensive case mix including trauma, cardiac, airway support, and behavioral health emergencies
• Active team culture with unit-based council and social committee activities
• Collaborative environment with experienced nursing staff and supportive mid-shift coverage

Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license or compact state license
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Trauma experience preferred
• MEDITECH experience preferred
• Inpatient holding experience and CPI certification a plus
• Strong multitasking abilities and team-oriented mindset
