Job Description

Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a single student, providing essential support in a Special Education setting from now through June 5, 2026. With varied classroom exposure across K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 grades, you’ll play an important role in promoting student engagement, growth, and achievement. Enjoy consistency with a 30-hour workweek, including structured breaks and lunch.

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable professional who thrives supporting diverse learners. Your skills as a paraprofessional or substitute teacher will help empower students to reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Experience as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, or in a similar educational support role
Comfortable working with students in grades K-12, especially in 1:1 settings
Background in supporting students with special needs preferred
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff
Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct, individualized support to a student with special needs
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and special education teams
Assist in implementing educational and behavioral plans
Foster a positive classroom atmosphere for learning and growth
Monitor student progress and communicate updates to relevant staff
