This full-time opportunity offers 30 hours per week, working closely with one student in a supportive educational environment near Pittsburgh, PA. You’ll experience a balanced workday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and a 15-minute break, and your assignment will run from ASAP through June 5, 2026.

Ideal candidates bring compassion, patience, and experience supporting diverse learners from kindergarten through grade 12. Whether you have a background as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, or direct 1:1 pediatric support, you’ll have the chance to positively influence a young person’s educational journey while contributing to a collaborative school community.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience working with students in grades K–12, with special education caseloads strongly valued
• Ability to provide 1:1 support tailored to the individual needs of a student
• Familiarity with classroom procedures, individualized education plans (IEPs), and best practices in special education
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in school settings
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented approach

Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate and consistent 1:1 support for a designated student throughout the school day
• Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and adaptations as needed to promote academic and social growth
• Implement strategies outlined in the student’s IEP
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure continuity of care and support
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
