Travel Registered Nurse Stepdown Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – Stepdown in Petoskey, Michigan. This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning 07/13/2026 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). Work setting: hospital CVU focused on cardiovascular care in a high-volume program. This assignment includes a cardiovascular patient population with postoperative and diagnostic care.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care on a cardiovascular stepping-down unit for high-acuity cardiology patients
- Perform continuous telemetry monitoring, assess hemodynamics, and respond to changes in patient status
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
- Support patients through post-operative recovery for open heart procedures and complex cardiac interventions
- Provide care for patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies
- Document care, update care plans, and participate in quality and safety initiatives

Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license; license verification required (LARA and Nursys)
- 1+ year Stepdown/Cardiac unit experience (REQUIRED)
- Proficiency in cardiac nursing; EKG interpretation comfortability (REQUIRED)
- Travel experience (REQUIRED)
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed (REQUIRED)
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS (REQUIRED)
- Education: RN designation; additional profile documentation may be requested
