(Ooltewah, TN Only) Summary: The Wiring Technician will assemble, install and test complex wiring harnesses and electrical systems to produce heavy-duty tow trucks. The technician will ensure all components are wired correctly and function safely. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Measure, cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires with precision using hand and power tools. Conduct testing and troubleshooting on completed assemblies to identify and correct faulty wiring or component issues. Assemble and wire electrical control panels, circuit breakers, switches, and other electronic components according to specifications. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, making necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure all systems meet quality standards. Oversee a safe workspace to ensure work areas are clean and organized, including tools and equipment, to include all safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to work effectively to ensure production goals and deadlines are met. Must have basic hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, sockets, wiring tools, etc.). Other duties as assigned. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience. One to two years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Required knowledge on a variety of hand tools, to include pneumatic tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installation tasks. Must understand hydraulics and 12-volt DC electrical systems. Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months wiring experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have basic computer skills.
